We are excited to announce auditions for our upcoming Director's Showcase featuring TWO one-act plays: Bad Auditions by Bad Actors and Sorry, Wrong Number.

The Story: ​

Bad Auditions by Bad Actors: A casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theatre production of Romeo and Juliet.But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors, performers who just don’t know what to do with their hands and one particular woman who may or may not think she’s a cat. This hilarious comedy will bring you to the last place you’d ever want to be... behind the doors of a casting session.

Sorry, Wrong Number: Who’s on the other end of the line? In this tense thriller, neurotic Mrs. Stevenson accidentally overhears plans for a murder, which turns out to be her own. A whip-smart thriller whose influence can be seen in everything from Clue to Scream, Lucille Fletcher’s intimate play makes masterful use of the unknown and the mysterious. Adapted for the stage by Lucille Fletcher, author of the original radio play, this study in paranoia and fear creates a world where the telephone might be both the murder weapon, and the only hope for salvation.

 

- Rehearsals will be kept under 2 hours

- Rehearsals only 3-4 times per week

- One performance weekend only (July 10, 11, & 12)

- Both productions will rehearse collaboratively and perform together as one exciting evening of theatre.
