Director's Showcase

Attention New Directors!

Ever wanted to direct at Trumbull New Theatre?

 

This June, TNT is launching a Director’s Showcase designed to introduce new directors to the TNT production process while expanding our future directing pool.​​

​

Two new directors will be selected to stage two short one-act plays, performed together each evening during this special showcase weekend.

​

Each director will work alongside a seasoned TNT director serving as a mentor, gaining hands-on experience with the full directing process, including:

• Auditions & casting

• Blocking & working with actors

• Rehearsal planning

• Minimal set design in a black-box setting

• Lighting & sound coordination

• Understanding TNT production expectations

​

The one-act scripts will be selected by the TNT Board, and productions will use simple staging and minimal technical elements, allowing directors to focus on storytelling and collaboration.

This program is designed to give new directors a supported opportunity to gain experience at TNT while helping us continue to grow our creative community.
